Marketing Text Vocational education needs open and flexible approaches to be implemented on various levels: for both teachers and learners. We support trainers and teachers from VET sector in implementation of dynamic, open and innovative methods by adapting and transferring validated e-learning course for vocational schools and training sector. The course is based on innovative pedagogical methods and uses various open tools. It enables teachers and institutions to integrate them with new qualification framework and current teaching practice.
General aim of the project is to support trainers and teachers from VET sector in implementation of dynamic, open and innovative methods by adapting and transferring validated e-learning course for vocational schools and training sector. The course is available as open resource in 9 languages together with the facilitator’s handbook. It enables teachers and institutions to integrate them with new qualification framework and current teaching practice. The project outcomes are numerous:
- EN version of open e-learning course and facilitator’s manual adapted from the Polish context and translated into EN
- freely available national version of the adapted e-learning course and facilitator’s manual in partners languages.
- Report on VET teachers and trainers requirements and needs towards e-learning.
- Workshop scenario and 2-3 workshops in each country delivered to VET sector
The project has also increased didactic and digital competences of VET trainers and teachers and has risen awareness of online educational solutions based on innovative pedagogy. Further dissemination of innovative methods and approaches has achieved as the trained VET educators are prepared for participation in train-the-trainers activities in VET sector. Additionally, a high quality e-learning course is directly influence the training of e-skills in learners.
Finally, the project has contributed to increasing the visibility and role of VET in regular education system and lifelong learning.
The main aim of the project has been to adapt and transfer e-learning course for educators. As such it contributed to LDV general priorities aimed at supporting VET actors in learning and using their skills for enhancing quality and innovation in VET. The project addresses the needs for innovative pedagogies and methods for VET by equipping educators with an e-course that introduces collaborative social learning and learning outcomes- based design. Thus it gives VET institutions the ability to enhance teachers’ pedagogical skills combined with ICT innovative exploitation.
The project was planned for 24 months and it was divided into 8 WPs:

The course is availiable in 9 languages (EN, PL, CZ, SL, CR, LT, ES, NO, IT) together with the facilitator's handbook. It is based on the initial course developed in Poland but has been further adapted by the partners to include updated and localised activities relevant for the teachers in VET. Both products were tested in the international group of 100 teachers in all partners countries. The courses and handbooks are availiable on CC licences for downloading and implementing by training institutions or individuals.
Module 1: Introduction and warming up (2h 30 min): to master the platform in order to be able to participate comfortably, to get to know other participants and course facilitators, to plan their learning for the course.
Module 2: Developing competences (3h 30 min): to identify the competences you have as a teacher
Module 3: Exploring e-learning (4h): to observe various forms of e-learning in the context of VET.
Module 4: Designing e-tivities (6h): to gain the skills necessary for designing online activities for VET
Module 5: Motivation (5h 30 min): to learn how to increase motivation for online learning
Module 6: Group work (8h): to design an e-tivity for group work
Module 7: Moderation online forum discussion (7h): to gain the skills required for planning and facilitating online discussions and reacting to certain problems in the context of VET.
Module 8: Developing e-learning resources: (6h 30 min): to develop audio and video for VET
Module 9: Online resources – reusing, sharing and evaluating (4h 30 min): to gain skills in searching, selecting, re-using, sharing and evaluating online resources
Module 10: The role of the facilitator (2h 30 min): to gain skills in organising own work as a facilitator
It is organised around the idea of competences that are enhanced, recorded and presented throughout the course. The aspect of reflective learning and practice is especially important for the assessment.
The course is designed for Moodle platform and it exploits also other FLOSS tools, such as Padlet, Apache Openmeetings, Google Documents.
