Marketing Text The project brings together all VET key players to work together on EU-level to resolve the identified problems in the tourism and hospitality sector related to skills forecasting and improving labour force quality. It creates a bridge for sustainable cooperation between the world of work represented by employers´ associations involved, decision makers, VET providers and schools and VET-oriented research institutions on complementary manner.
Summary The project aimed to design an European systematic approach for employers’ engagement to anticipate skills requirements and support quality assurance in VET through bringing key actors into one EU.EM.NET network. The EU.EM.NET project mirrors the real needs for effective and efficient engagement of employers in the overall process of detection of new skills needed for the future development in the tourism and hospitality sector thus for increasing its competitiveness. Impact has twofold perspective: first, on identified target groups (employers´ associations & SMEs, trades unions, policy makers, VET providers, employment services, VET schools), representatives of all of them are involved in the project implementation, and secondly, on the systems of skills forecasting at EU-level in tourism and hospitality industry. The Network is open for regular enlargement, which could also bring other relevant stakeholders from medium and long-term perspective.
EU.EM.NET was focused on following achievements:
- raising awareness of the necessity of employers´ engagement in the process of skills anticipation requirements ;
- developing a core methodology and quality indicators for engagement of employers with reference to the EQARFVET;
- testing and ensuring valorisation of the core methodology within the established network;
- Road Map to respond to the identified skills requirements;
- establishing a European network EU.EM.NET and preparing a set of measures for its sustainability.
The achievements are aligned with the identified specific needs and problems faced by the sector when dealing with the employers´ role and tasks in the process.

Product information The main product is a wide network of stakeholders, both employers and training providers, in the tourism and hospitality sector working together on the basis of a new Core Methodology developed within the project. The Core Methodology for effective and on-going engagement of employers in the process of anticipating skills requirements in the tourism and hospitality sector will include development of quality indicators for employers engagement with reference to the EQARFVET based on original learning approach and practices towards the present situation - either in relation to the existing practices at European level and identified weaknesses, needs and challenges or in relation to the content of the core methodology planned to be both, i.e. usable for end-users and also policy oriented.
