Marketing Text With this platform the identification of the career development of a new employee is easier and faster, and will make it possible to monitor a higher number of employees progresses in a more detailed and effective way.
It is a web-based system that allows the trainer, the in-company tutor, the HR manager, the employee himself, to manage and monitor the process of skills development of a new employee, using an integrated methodology of competences assessment, blended training paths, including e-learning units, and work experiences. The platform will act as a support tool to professional development acquired in a workplace context, identifying skills gaps and relating training needs of new employees (apprentices and trainees alternating school and work); in particular the platform, given the competences possessed and the ones to attain in relation to the profile to cover, will automatically give an individualized training path and the relating tools of self-monitoring and monitoring of the progresses done, so allowing to recognize the skills gained. The information that will be uploaded in the platform allow to store in a unique place, and to make them communicate, the tools and experiences already in use by partners in a more mechanic and paper version. The result is a more widespread use of competences management and recognition of skills gained in the workplace, with on the job training methods.
From a technical point of view, the platform will be developed as a web-based, modular, multi-user, multi-profile application. The access to its facilities will be protected by an authentication mechanism using the username-password pair. The platform will work with three types of actors: employees, tutors and platform administrators. User profiles will be linked to each of these actors, giving different access right to the platform’s facilities. The platform will offer modules for creating and managing the e-learning units, defining rules in selecting the training paths of new employees in correlation with a desired work profile, for assessing the skill level of the trainees. Also, the application will offer printable reports on the progress of trainees, using both graphical and table representations. Web 2.0 technologies will be used in the development of the platform, for a high level of interactivity.
