Title Un standard d'éducation et de formation pour les professionnels sur la CIF (Classification Internationale des Fonctions) et la déficience visuelle
Project Number DE/12/LLP-LDV/TOI/147504
The ICF is a holistic classification system, which does not only take regards on the activities or tasks a person can’t do according to their impairment. ICF also considers environmental aspects and capabilities of the concerned individual. In practical use also trainer, teacher, social worker and psychologists will have to contribute their professional view and reports to complete this system as comprehensive tool to describe the capabilities of a person. But those professionals are not familiar with this instrument yet and need an intense introduction into the systematic.
The aim of this project was the development and execution of a unitary E-Learning course. This course provides an appropriate and comprehensive introduction into ICF for those professionals. The developed course comply to the requirements and standards and of all involved partners.
The project consortium included five educational institutions, an association for people with visual impairment and an ophthalmologic research organization. This constellation of the project partners, ensured that a broad spectrum of the ICF was considered and implemented into the course.
The developed E-learning course is composed by four modules.
The main aim of this project was to develop a unique blended-learning course for trainer and teacher in education and vocational training for people with visual impairment. Purpose of this approx. 60hr lasting course is to introduce trainers into the appropriate use of the ICF according to the special requirements of the target group.
This course implemented the "best practice" results of the partner Dutch Royal Visio which is successfully using ICF during the last years for people with visual impairment and the results of the ICF-ProVIP project carried out within a LEONARDO DA VINCI partnership.
The course is structured into four modules and will be executed as "blended learning" course.
A special focus was set to the requirements of the target group concerning vision impairment. By using examples and case studies, the principles of ICF and it's utilization will be explained.
The quality of the developed E-learning course was evaluated with a pilot course amongst the project partners. Experiences of this pilot course were used for amendments and improvements of the developed modules. The Bulgarian, French and Romanian partners executed for their staff members an internal course with the translated version. The feedback from participants of those courses was also used for final improvements.
The modules are available in six languages (BG, DE, FR, EN, NL, RO) version as online content (WBT) on the STEP-IVI E-Learning Management System (LMS)and as offline version (CBT).
To inform potential course participants and stakeholders, an information brochure was developed in five partner languages. All partner carried our information events in their countries to inform potential users and stakeholders.
Besides those digital learning contents, so called "Tutorials" were also developed as printouts in the partner languages. This will support course participants who prefer "classical" textbooks for learning.
Finally all course results and -products are published in all language versions via CD-ROM (ISBN: 978-3-9816829-0-8). This ISBN registration enables that the CD-ROM can be ordered via book store.
The teaching materials are still maintained by the involved project partners. The eveloped modules are used by the partners to introduce their new staff members into the ICF subject.
The Dutch partner Visio implemented the modules in their E-Learning platform and became part of their E-Learning porfolio for employees.
On transnational level, the course will be promoted and executed by the Academy of the "European Network for Vision Impairment Training Education & Research" (www.enviter.eu)

An optional examination will be carried out via online examination. The certificate will be provided by the "European Network for Vision Impairment Training Education & Research" (ENVITER). This organisation will provide this course and the examination after the project period.
A regular course start in responsibility of ENVITER is planned for 3rd quarter 2015.
But all partners already are able to execute the course within their country and in their reponsibility.
