Marketing Text Nowadays, we are now obliged to change our career paths regularly and adapt ourselves to the rapid change in our local, national and international environment. What could be better than to cover this aspect as early as in the vocational training with internships abroad. Especially disadvantaged young people with a small training allowance would not get to know such mobility without the help and support from the European Community programs. In this project, participants had the opportunity to expand their professional skills, meet other people, cultures and religion, to foster self-awareness and flexibility. Moreover, social integration was promoted.
The project took part in Limasol/Cyprus for three weeks with 10 young people from Germany from April, the 18th to May, 8th 2012. The participants are disadvantaged youth according to German Social Security Law (SGB III § 242ff), and are in the dual vocational training in home economics. The project was an integral part of the training plan and was directed to the acquisition and application of key skills, focused on the jobs in home economics. With the completion of this project, the participants experienced vocational training in European dimensions in the context of the development of cooperative and innovative training and, furthermore, the trainees were given a practical insight into the life and work in Europe. The participants were able to deepen and broaden their professional competence under international conditions and thus contribute to the project with their expertness and constructive cooperation. In intercultural aspects, the project was completed with tours to various companies, historic buildings and places. All tasks, responsibilities and financial arrangements were concretized by the conclusion of the participant’s contracts and learning agreements.
For recognition, a certificate from the host organisation as well as the Europass curriculum vitae and the Europass mobility document the project.
