Marketing Text The economy in Germany is highly internationalized. To further secure a top position in global competition in the future, the economy depends on well-trained staff. Bildungsgesellschaft Pritzwalk tries to fulfil this with the wide range of internships through the programme Leonardo da Vinci and provides the industry with the appropriate professionals who have international experience.
The international project was part of the Leonardo da Vinci program from 07/09/2011 to 27/09/2011. Ten young people of the disability-specific and dual vocational training as metal workers took part in the program. The young people, between 19-27 years old, were given the opportunity to strengthen and enhance their previously acquired skills among Italian working conditions, but moreover to learn new skills and abilities as well. They worked individually and in groups in various metalworking enterprises in and around Spoleto / Italy and were directly integrated into the production workflow.
In this project, we also put a special emphasis on social skills. It could be observed that the internship strengthened the personality of the handicapped trainees. In addition to the advanced professional skills, they returned from the internship with more confidence and flexibility.
In intercultural regard, the participants got to know another culture and religion through tours to historic buildings and places in Spoleto, Perugia, Assisi, Rome, and Ancona.
