Le développment rapide du marché des webinars s’est matérialisé grâce à une popularité croissante de l’Internet à grande vitesse et à des prix de moins en moins élevés des logiciels pour les webinars. Les apprenants, les animateurs et le personnel des départements RH se sont rendu compte que les webinars sont une altérnative efficace aux cours de formation traditionnels et qu’ils peuvent être facilement combinés avec d’autres types de formation. Lors de la réalisation du projet Webinar 2 Learn, la Méthodologie de Formation Webcast (Webcast Training Methodology) sera révisée, approfondie et ensuite transférée en Bulgarie, Slovaquie et Autriche. On envisage de tirer parti de la mise en pratique de la méthodologie Webcast dans ces nouveaux pays, y ajouter une nouvelle valeur et l’optimiser avec des approches mixtes. Par conséquent, on arrivera à sensibiliser les animateurs et les enseignants à la mise en oeuvre des médias diffusés en streaming dans les entreprises. Cela renforcera aussi des mécanismes d’interaction entre les partenaires de projet, ses bénéficiaires et les organismes de formation.

In 2009 and 2010, nearly every European country was affected by the economic crisis. Some members of the European Union faced serious risk of public finances system collapse. In such difficult circumstances, companies were drastically cutting costs. The first area for savings is unfortunately training and development; therefore trainings of employees were often stopped or limited and training budgets substantially reduced.
According to the EUROSTAT, percentage of European adults participated in trainings dropped in 2009 to 9,3%. This was more than twice less than in previous years. In the absence of budgets for education and training, companies were looking for more economic solutions, able to replace traditional methods. The best technique allowing resigning from costs of training facilities, travels of participants and trainers or printouts was webcast. Webcasting trainings contrary to traditional e-learning courses were allowing for live contact and voice and video discussion with trainer.
Rapid development of webcasting market was possible due to growing popularity of high speed internet access and dropping prices of webcasting software. Trainees, trainers and HR department’s employees that participated in webinars (educational webcasts) realized that it is efficient alternative for traditional trainings and can be easily blended with other types of education. They knew also that it requires certain knowledge, know-how and appropriate approach. Training companies and trainers heavily hit by the crisis now face the growing demand for webinars and have to learn fast how to run them.
During the "How to Webcast – new media use in the efficient learning processes" project partners from Poland, Czech Republic, Lithuania and Scotland composed from experiences of different projects and good practices the Webcast Training Methodology (WTM). WTM and Trainers Manual (TM) was the only structurized and complete approach to webinars in Europe.
During Webinar 2 learn project we revised and deepened the WTM and transfered it to Bulgaria, Slovakia and Austria.
The WTM was transformed to Webinar Methodology (WM) – name which better reflects actual trends of on-line trainings. We had capitalized on the experience of testing WM in the new countries, added a new value and enriched it with blending approaches. The second aim was to rise awareness of streaming media use in education among trainers and educators. This also fostered exchange mechanisms between the project partners, beneficiaries and training institutions.
The partnership implementing the project consisted of 5 strong organizations. Every partner has more than 5 years of experience in the educational projects implementation. The project results were WM, TM, content related materials and training programs. The project resulted in the development of skills and knowledge of trainers and employees of educational institutions in the area of webinars and other streaming media use.
Day-to-day management and coordination - 03.2012 - 02.2014
Coordination of the consortium and planned activities according to deadlines and objectives stated in the project (organizational and financial). Direct consortium meetings as well as monthly on-line meetings were held to ensure the proper project implementation and keeping partnership in frame of schedule and deadlines. Preparation and implementation of the communication mechanisms for the project consortium (webpage based tool and communication rules). Preparation and implementation of the Protocol of Transnational Co-operation.
Transfer of the Webinar Methodology (WTM) - 03.2012 - 02.2013
At the first stage of this WP the desk research in the topic of webinar use for training purposes were made. This involved searching for information in existing sources, such as newspapers, Internet, analytical reports, statistical series, etc. This stage included also identification of the good practices in the educational videoconferences and webinars implementation. Webcast Training Methodology (WTM) was adopted (basing on the available materials) and the 1st version of the Webinar Methodology (WM) was prepared. Its content was revised by all partners and modified according to suggestions. Consultation with the national experts and trainers (expert meetings) were conducted in each partner country. Trainer’s Manual (TM) ver. 1 was also adopted and translated to partners languages.
Testing of the WM – pilot phase - 11.2012 - 09.2013
Pilot phase allowed to check how efficient is WM for trainers and gather important feedback. Training materials for on-line and off-line meetings were prepared and 9 traditional trainings and 18 on-line webinars concerning webinar implementation were conducted in Slovakia, Bulgria and Poland. Data from the pilot phase were gathered and the research report was prepared. After the pilot phase 2nd version of the Webinar Methodology (WM) and Trainers Manual (TM) was prepared and printed;
Monitoring, evaluation and quality management - 03.2012 - 02.2014
Evaluation plan and the quality management plan were prepared and implemented. Ongoing evaluation was being made by all partners during the implementation process to ensure the support of project management and this went simultaneously with monitoring of the project progress. This WP included also Mid-term and At the end of the project evaluation of management and cooperation between partners and preparation of evaluation reports. Evaluation of the WTM transfer and WM 1st and 2nd version was made and quality reports of WM 1st and 2nd version were prepared to ensure that planned quality standards are being implemented.
WP5 - Dissemination and exploitation of results - 04.2012 - 02.2014
The project activities were being promoted from the beginning of the project. The project website were connected to Facebook and YouTube and with gallery of multimedia. 10 visual advises, which were prepared for educational companies explainined how to produce good quality webinars. Project was promoted on thematic conferences and meetings. After the preparation of the Webinar Methodology ver. 2 and educational materials, information campaign was conducted on the national and international level. Final Conference organized in Warsaw in the end of the project summed up project activities.

10. 18 On-line webinars (6 in each country - Poland, Bulgaria, Slovakia) concerning Webinar Technology.
11. Pilot phase report - report from the pilot phase of the project.
12. Final Conference - summary of the project and presentation of its results.
