Marketing Text COMBAT competence qualification model, elaborated in respect to the reference levels 5, 6 and 7 of EQF, which could be used as a solid tool for assurance of transparency, quality and relevance for VET in Waste Management and Recycling/Reuse sector.
Description This result encompasses set of documents which aim to create a comprehensive approach for comparing the occupational profiles in waste management occupational field and learning outcomes at the end of VET programmes. It was developed on the basis of ISCO (International Standard Classification of Occupations), which was used as an overarching frame of reference for determining common occupational tasks and qualification requirements on the labour market. Its main objective is to improve the quality of VET for teachers/trainers, through creating a structured model for comparing qualifications in Waste Recycling and Reuse sector on the basis of the specific needs for education of VET professionals in respect to reference levels 5, 6, 7 of EQF. It aims to increase the transparency and recognition of qualifications and competences, including those acquired through non-formal and informal learning.

Elaborated “Guidance materials to the new competence based learning approach and methodology” are in compliance with national/international quality management standards and comprises:
1. Presentation of international standard classification of occupations in Waste Recycling and Reuse sector (description of newly developed ISCO-08 standard; ISCO-08 main aims; selection of representative occupational profiles of specialists working in Waste management recycling / reuse on the basis of the model function of the ISCO system)
2. European VET indicators for acquisition of qualifications (brief overview on the European Qualification Framework (EQF) for lifelong learning and Integrated European System of credit transfer (ECVET) emphasizing on their relevance for identification, validation and recognition of qualification adopted in formal, non-formal and informal education; introduction to the main descriptors of the qualifications)
3. Definition of Units and ECVET points (introduction into Unit Learning Outcome; identification of the role of Units and ECVET points operation; emphasis on the importance for implementation of ECVET for assessing qualifications)
4. COMBAT Competence Model (design of a steps pathway for development of COMBAT Competence template: preparation of a document describing the structure of the Professional Competence Profile; representation of the professional competences; implementation of “Process based” methodological approach for description of the competence)
Area of application Promoting the development of coherent and coordinated system of standards whose beneficiaries are VET-professionals dealing with competences.
