Marketing Text The marketing text will be added later.
Summary The aim of the project is to improve quality and efficiency of pharmaceutical assistant/technician-students’ preparation process prior to their work placement periods abroad. In first meeting (Ljubljana,SI NOV 2011) partners compared the required competences and curricula and working life requirements thus mapping out similarities and differences between countries. This was followed by creating content list for the draft version of the booklets. Once draft versions had been developed after first meeting in spring 2012 materials were submitted for peer evaluation. After this materials were translated and partners compared the national draft versions to ensure coherence of the booklets. In second meeting in Cork IE NOV 2012 drafts were checked again and agreement made how content should be revised. Rewriting was done, second drafts were handed in for students testing the materials in spring 2013 and materials were peer evaluated for the second time. After students’ feedback and peer evaluation necessary adjustments were and implemented. The last tasks during project were editing and getting the layout completed that were done in early autumn 2013. By early October 2013 materials were ready and on website and printed before Helsinki/Tallinn meeting. National level dissemination started in late October and continues after project’s official expiring.
Description PHARLEMA was initiated as LdV transfer of innovation project due to two preceeding successful LdV learning material projects focusing on developing similar learning materials for social and health care IVT-students. Partnership group was established in 2010 and Birmingham Metropolitan College joined in in 2011. The project's aims, action plan and concept followed those of preceeding LDV-projects. First phase was to decide the preliminary content list for booklets after comparison of curricula and pharmaceutical assistants' and techicians' required competences. Thus in 2012 partner colleges developed first drafts which were peer evaluated and translated to facilitate comparison. Late 2012 in second meeting thorough discussion and comparison took place so that second elaborated versions could be made. These versions were also submitted for students to evaluate as there was a number of pharmaceutical students carrying out practical training periods within network of partner colleges as a testing group. Students' feedback was taken into account as well as feedback from second peer evaluation done on national level. Slight modifications were still made and after completing the contents for all booklets editing and layout were completed as well. In late 2013 materials were printed and pdf versions available on almost each colleges' websites. As project ended in October 2013 free downloading had already started and from Helsinki Vocational College's website more than 170 downloads had already taken place before Christmas of 2013!
