Due to climate change, shortage of raw materials and environmental pollution threats and in light of the challenges of energy security, the demand for cleantech products & services is growing rapidly.
The transition to a green economy creates a need for skills in the cleantech professions.
The cleantech sector offers huge potential for economic growth in Europe and worldwide.
Ecology is becoming an economic job creator niche.
PEC is a project led by four partners in a consortium:
Swiss Foundation of the International Social Service - ISS
Gesellschaft mbH Innovative Beschäftigungsförderung - GIB
Maison de l’Economie Développement - MED
Two other partners are involved in this project:
Ecotransferts, for operational coordination, and OFAJ, for a Transfer of Innovation.
The purposes are:
1. Define business needs
2. Create a network of stakeholders.
3. The completion of two Transfers of Innovation:
- “Modularisation” for cleantech professional training
- The exchange methodology and the intercultural training for cleantech professions
For this purpose, PEC analyses business needs, creates a European offer of training courses, organises staff exchanges between companies and develops a methodology for transfer of know-how in the technical manual cleantech professions.

The PEC courses are designed to facilitate the transition of companies and individuals into cleantech careers.
