Marketing Text MELIOR is a European on- line system for the selection and evaluation of training providers, based on quality indicators.
The MELIOR project tackled the lack of a European tool for measuring quality standards in the selection of training providers. The project was based upon a tool developed in the project Double evolution in the year 2001; since that date the technology available as well as the research made in the field of quality in education and the publication of the CQAF, (Common Quality Assurance Framework), have changed the usability and real application of the DOUBLE EVOLUTION tool. The MELIOR project meant to take the Double Evolution tool as a starting point for building a comprehensive system for analysis of quality in training in order to help training contractors, trainers, trainees, guidance professionals, and similar in the selection of a quality training offer adapted to their profiles and needs.
The main project aim was the development of an on-line guide for the selection and evaluation of training providers based upon quality indicators; the analysis and research of previous projects on quality in training have helped to set and design practical tools for quality control in training in public or private training centres.
The target group being mainly companies and training “contractors” can be enlarged to students and individuals in search of training offer adapted to their needs as well as helpful tool in the hands of guidance professionals and consultants in training.
There have been five international meetings in which tasks and responsibilities have materialized.It has established and implemented a communication protocol. Creating a working tool online (Worklab) for communication of the members, agenda with tasks, exchange information and files in common use.
It has been completed the research report about methodologies, tools currently available and examples of good practice in all countries of the consortium.
It has selected a team of external quality control project (Quality Control Board) that brings together education professionals and entrepreneurs in each of the countries of the consortium.
Contents and programming of the expert system has been completed during the second year of the project.
Test sessions of the tool has been also held in all the countries involved as well as dissemination activities to promote the product.

It has been designed and created the corporate image of the project; a brochure about the project has been designed and published. It has been designed and created the project website.
The expert system Melior has been completed with their content to help the SMEs to select the best provider of training according to their needs.
Partners tested the tool and wrote a report with the results of the testing
Promoter organized an international conference to disseminate the project during the last transnational meeting in Zaragoza.
