Marketing Text Our project will contribute to the protection of public health with the formation of food safety awareness on target audience. This project, which is held with the participation of different countries, will increase the professional competences and skills of target group by bringing together the innovative and different knowledges. Educational materials will help people to encourage and motivate themselves. Obtaining informations will become common between restaurant and canteen employers and SMEs will become more enthusiastic about working with more qualified staff. Sector will understand the importance of the process of integration with Europe with being awared of advanced vocational training activities of industry. The innovative educational materials which emerges with this project will provide an important development in the sector of collective consumption when the deficiencies of target group about food safety education taken into consideration.
Restaurants and school canteens are small places that serves many people. These enterprises are inadequate in food safety and hygiene issues due to that overnumbered small business and their incapable controls. An effective food safety and hygiene education are needed at EU level in restaurants and school canteens in consequence of people from all walks and especially for children who covers the large part of customers.
The main aims and objectives of the projects are inform workers about food safety and hygiene issues to create food safety awareness which is required for European Union and national laws. It’s an important point for people and children who holds our future.
Tangible outputs which will be created under the Project are e-learning based web site, manuals, booklets and posters about food safety and hygiene. The occurrence of food safety awareness in the target audience and creating examples for the institutions which works in the branches of food production, sale and consumption are the intangible outcomes.
As a result, by implementing of this Project, food infections and food poisoning hazards will be prevented and a step will be taken in the direction of public health protection and food safety awareness in the target group will consist.
The project will run for 24 months and will be carried out in collabration of 11 partner. under the coordination of Selcuk University Cumra Vocational High School.
This project’s aim is transfering the data of “SEGURALIMENTARIA:Continuing Training in Food Safety Project” to our country for adaptation of food safety trainings to the workers in restaurants and school canteens which applied in Spain in 2002. Operation of the project consists of 5 work packages. To determine food safety knowledge of the target audience questionnaires were applied and the results of questionnaires were evaluated and case report was constituted. In preparation of case reports the opinions of inspectors of Ministry of food, agriculture and livestock, opinions of workers of restaurants and school canteens, food reports were also considered. Currently, training headings and contents have been prepared considering the needs of target groups. Face to face trainings and e- learning trainings will start in 2012.
