Project Number 2010-1-FR1-LEO05-14494
Project Type Transfer of Innovation
Old know-how and knowledge of territories of exception in rural areas.
The authenticity of the rural territories of exception is threatened by the loss of old know-hows and the inadequacy of training with the needs of high-quality skills combining good command of know-hows and in-depth knowledge of the territory.
High quality of cultural heritage in rural territories of exception is an important vector of sustainable development: economic development, social inclusion by citizen awareness of the value of collective use of buildings and landscape, insertion/qualification of public in rural territories, respect for the environment by the use of local materials.
The issue of the Art' Terri project is to give access to lowly qualified or the unemployed and specifically women of rural areas to high-quality skills and knowledge about heritage to become "artisans of the territory".
5 partners of rural territories of exception - Provence, Majorca, Epirus, Tokaj, Corsica - associate themselves with a Berlin partner who will transfer innovative training engineering method to reconcile employability of disadvantaged people with acquisition of know-how of high-quality heritage in an educational framework of training site.
This collaboration will lead to the construction of a competence curricula "Artisan of the territory" with the particularity of combining the knowledge of the land (history, geology, etc.) and the acquisition of the former know-how which they are derived. This training will be experienced in every territory in training sites. At the end of the training, the beneficiaries will be "employable" in heritage restoration companies.
