Project Number 517780-LLP-1-2011-1-IT-LEONARDO-LNW
Project Type Networks
Country EU-Centralised Projects
[en] The Go&Learn initiative offers, to all those interested in-company guidance and training, the chance to access an international catalogue of themed training seminars carried out in company and/or industrial tourism visits for the economic fabric discovery of regions and countries.
A reliable and tested training companies network and an efficient pedagogical and logistic support to foster the inclusion of G&L study visits into standard training curricula of universities, secondary schools, vocational training.
The expected impact of the project is to promote mutual knowledge of the economic cultures of neighbouring countries/regions; to foster transnational mobility; to exploit the companies’ training role, as real added value for the professional development of European students and workers.
The initiative aims to enhance certain aspects of the EU mobility program’s efficiency and efficacy: the low level of mutual interest-in and understanding-of a neighbouring country’s economic fabric and history; the inadequate support given to schools and VET bodies (most of which don’t have transnational mobility as a standard part of their curricula) in terms of reliable foreign partners able to guarantee quality in exchange activities and original learning proposals.
Education and VET systems are finding it increasingly difficult, for a variety of reasons, to update curricula, laboratories and technologies, while for study purposes companies themselves can provide a broad, state-of-the-art, detailed view of local products and services, organization and technology, culture and experience.
The Go&Learn initiative offers to all those interested in-company guidance and training, the chance to access an international catalogue of themed training seminars and/or industrial tourism visits.
“Learning In Company” circuits are planned training units carried out in non-formal learning environments. Ideal target groups are secondary school and university students, vocational trainees, apprentices, workers and unemployed people participating in LLL actions. The seminars are oriented to fulfil non-formal and formal learning needs: they should integrate and enhance existing training paths or generate new ones.
“Industrial Tourism” circuits encourage the discovery of an area’s economic framework. They are an innovative, original form of professional guidance, open to a wide range of participants: not only schools and companies but also single individuals, whatever their working condition or age.
The multilateral network will , in a three year period:
> develop a common standard structure at european level, defining visit’s rules and structure, agreement with companies, logistics and administrative aspects, etc.. necessary to activate an international Go&Learn catalogue
> set up in each partner country of a Go&Learn reference body, which will be in charge of the set-up, update and management of the catalogue, organization of the logistics and support for incomin groups, dissemination and promotion of the G&L concept and catalogue at national level
> set up of a network of endorsers and stakeholders (entrepreneurs associations, unions, local authorities, tourism development agencies, etc)
> set up of a network of certified training companies, associated to the Go&Learn initiative, with an agreement formalizing their commitment and duties in terms of visits to be organized in their premises
> set up of a Go&Learn website, which will be used to promote the catalogue , the companies and the stakeholders of the Go&Learn European wide
> set up of a Catalogue of “Learning in Company” circuits, for thematic study linked to existing training/education paths
