Marketing Text Due to different ways to call and define the professional profile target of IDECO project, the first step of the project was to agree on a common definition. Even a generic definition could represent a good base for project implementation.
This professional profile has been developed on the basis of 7 interviews to Heads of Unit working in the Province of Trento and according to the inputs received from Residential Care Facility Directors from Toscana. The interviewed were asked to describe their tasks, a typical working day, their role in the organization chart, the skills needed to perform their job.
The report has been integrated and revised by partnership members according to local experiences.
The HoU, within the organizational system of the service, is a link between the director and the health and social care workers (OSS). Sometime, he/she refers to a middle management profile, such as that of care activities coordinator.
He/she has relevant relations with the director, with users, their relatives, the volunteers and all the professionals working in the residential care facility, both in the health and in the social care field
He/she has the responsibility of organizing the care activities within the unit, supporting the human resources management, coordinating the care team, creating links between the direction and the care staff and implementing the individual care plans.
