Title TRANSFERRING EUROPEAN TRAINING PROGRAMME FOR THE QUALIFICATOION OF NON DESTRUCTIVE TESTING PERSONNEL
Project Number 2011-1-ES1-LEO05-35751
Project Type Transfer of Innovation
Didactic Guides and Study Manuals for the training of the Non Destructive Testing personnel focused to the certification procedures recommended in the new EN ISO 9712 standard. Five most common inspection techniques have been obtained, with the necessary contents for the three existing levels of qualification, and available in the languages of the participant partners (Spanish, Czech, Croatian, Hungarian and Portuguese). The five methods discussed have been:
RT - Radiographic Testing
PT - Penetrant Testing
MT- Magnetic Particles Testing
UT - Ultrasonic Testing
ET - Eddy Current Testing
TRANSFER PROQUALINDT is a project developed in the framework of the European Training Programme Leonardo da Vinci, promoted by the National Occupational Vocational Training Centre in Cartagena (CNFPO –Spain), and in which the participating partners are AEND (Spain), CNDT (Czech Rep), MAROVISZ (Hungary), CrSNDT (Croatia) and RELACRE (Portugal).
The project was born as a need to continue with a previous project (PROQUALINDT), promoted by CNFPO and developed in the framework of Leonardo da Vinci programme too, and in which also AEND participated as a partner together with BINDT (United Kingdom), COFREND (France) and DGZfP (Germany). The aim was to obtain a common tool for all participants' countries for the training of the Non Destructive Testing personnel focused to the certification procedures recommended in the ISO 9712 and EN 473 standards.
Thus, Didactic Guides and Study Manuals for the five most common inspection techniques were obtained, with the necessary contents for the three existing levels of qualification, and available in the languages of the participant partners (German, Spanish, French and English). The five methods discussed were: RT - Radiographic Testing; PT - Penetrant Testing; MT- Magnetic Particles Testing; UT - Ultrasonic Testing; ET - Eddy Current Testing
In this new project TRANSFER PROQUALINDT, all of these elaborated material have been used as a reference, and undergone to a procedure of reviewing and updating, using on the one hand the accumulated experience in the use of the existing materials, and on the other adapting within the harmonization process of the standard listed before to the new EN ISO 9712.
The project, for operational purposes, consisted of two parts, one focused on updating pedagogical / formative contents of the products obtained by the previous project (didactic guides, study manuals and teacher´s guide) and a second part properly addressed to transfer to members of the European the project for training of specialists in NDT broadly speaking, and in this one, the editing of the material and publicity of the project took place.
For this, different work packages were designed. In this regard it should be noted that all members participatedd in all work packages but with different degrees of involvement and / or leadership but equally in the overall project. This ensured greater mutual knowledge and achieved a better understanding of areas of common interest in the field of NDT.
The work packages were: MANAGEMENT, COORDINATION AND EVALUATION, REVIEW AND UPDATE, TRANSFER AND TRANSLATION, EDITING, and DISSEMINATION AND PUBLICITY. The project finished on 31st December, 2014
