Marketing Text Digital Agenda 2010-2020 states that Ambient Assisted Living (AAL) technologies put ICT within the reach of all. Applications such as telecare and online support for social services will be reinforced: to cover the certification of careers (i.e. so that they can provide an interface to information services for people that would otherwise have difficulty to use the internet).” It is clear the importance that training organizations provide the adequate training program to potential jobs seekers in this area in order to be high qualified to full the need of the market. It is also important for employers that provide inhouse training to their employees to count with proper guidelines of this nature.
Description The guidelines summarise the proposed European AAL Role profiles (AAL System Architect; AAL Solutions and System Developer; AAL Maintenance Specialist; AAL Community Manager; AAL Consultant), inform on their classification in reference to eCF and EQF, and suggest training objectives and learning units of AAL Specialist training. It providea guidance to training institutions willing to develop AAL specialist training courses and qualifications.
Target group Mainly Vocational, Education and Training providers, as well as employers and employees directly or indirectly involved with the Ambient-Assisted Living sector and interested in providing or acquiring qualification inhause.
Result A training guidelines for VET providers/employers and employees in the area of AAL in compliance with the principles of the European meta-frameworks European Qualification Framework, e-Competence Framework and ECVET
Area of application The training guidelines are mostly oriented, but not limited, to training departments in charge of defining training content of Ambient-Assisted Living training.
