Marketing Text Our school is a public vocational training institution which prepares students in the branches of textile industry, services and human body hygiene. This project is the fifth Leonardo da Vinci mobilty project approved. This project is an example of implementing ECVET for IVT professional training. The 30 participants in this project spent or will spend three weeks in Granada/Spain of practical training in different companies, active in the domain of textile industry and commerce.
The target group of the project are students from the 3rd year technological school, direct route of qualification, aged between 16-18 years from textile industry base training area, 3rd level of qualification, specialization Technician in fashion design, modules V and VI and services basic training area, 3rd level of qualification, specialization Technician in aquisition and contracting, modules VI, VII. By the moment of selection 15 participants were in the 3rd year and the other 15 in the 2nd year due to the fact that the mobility in two flows takes place in different school years.
The aims of the project focus on the possibility to offer the participants an improvement in the domaine they study, in order to gain practical abilities specific for their specialisation and facilitate the integration on the labor market, to use instruments, devices, equipments and technologies that assure the quality to satisfy market needs, to promote the spirit of entrepreneurship, to discover new motivations for continous training after leaving school, to improve linguistic competencies learning Spanish.
Mobility takes place in two flows of three weeks, that is 09.05-29.05.2011 (flow 1) and 11.01-31.01.2012 (flow 2) in Granada, Spain. The receiving organisations Confecciones Montilla S.L.,Confecciones Jose Pichel S.L., Euroinnova Formacion, Serigamp, SOS Racismo, Todoenofi and M.E.P. EUROPROJECTS GRANADA as intermediary organisation.
One flow has 15 participants as follows:
- 8 participants in the specialisation technician in aquisitions and contracting
- 7 participants in the specialisation technician in vestimentary design
Even if the group of participants comprises two types of students with different specialisations, the objectives of the project and their training needs are the same. Training needs are the following:
- to develop new linguistic competencies;
- to assimilate practical competences and abilities specific for their domaine of qualification for an easier integration on the labor market;
- to get aware and to improve the methods and instruments used for quality assurance in their domaines;
- to develop entrepreneurial culture;
- to adapt to the demands of a common European space;
- to discover new motivations to continue life long training.
This practical training is part of the national curriculum, replacing the modules V and VI for the textile industry, respectively VII and VIII for the services domain, which include practical training.
As a result of taking part in this project participants will develop competencies needed in their future job, competencies stipulated in the Professional Training Standards level 3 and will be able, at the end of the study cycle offered by our school, to integrate on the labor market no matter what the exigencies of the moment are, to initiate their own affair or to continue their study.
