This mobility project addresses a group of fourteen ten-grade pupils who are in initial training in order to obtain qualification as telecommunication technicians at Postal Services and Telecommunications High School in Timisoara. They will benefit from a two-week practical training course in France (Lycée Hippolyte Fontaine-Dijon) during the autumn of 2011. The specialized training the fourteen pupils will benefit from will be done in telecommunications, with a focus on telematics.
The main objectives of the project are:
• improvement of practical skils of the beneficiaries in the field of telematics, at the level of top professional training standards
• development of the adaptability capacity of the beneficiaries to a foreign working environment, applicant in terms of technical and technological novelties
• discovering the most recent preoccupations and technical/technological achievements applied to European level in telematics
• acquiring new competencies in the practical area of telematics and telematics networks with specific applications in areas such as telematics in healthcare, education, library services and distance learning, in the field of transport and vehicles, environment protection, teleworking and urban information networks, subjects of maximum importance at the level of the European Community.
One of the main immediate results we expect from the present project is the formation of specialists with practical skils who will be able to face the challenges generated by the implementation of Decision 1336/97/EC in Romania, which requires highly-qualified technicians. Moreover, we expect to develop a long-term partnership with our french partner in order to ensure the participation of our school to the European tide of exchange of information and idea among training supliers in the field of telecomunications. We also expect that the dissemination of results at returning to Romania will lead to a general improvement of the level of training of our graduates and their preformance on the labour market in the western part of the country.
