Marketing Text The integration of its graduates in the labour market is Epralima´s primary goal and according to its Statistics on “Graduate Employability”, despite the economic crisis that the country has been faced with over the last couple of years “70% are employed…55% in their field.” All courses include a practicum, exclusive to each courses’ training plan, where students have the opportunity to put their theory into practice, make connections, and gain an insight into the labour market. Its prestige within the community is based on students’ performance, the variety of courses offered and the commitment of its teachers. The opportunity to complete grade 12 and simultaneously teach a trade increases its responsibility, but despite the important work developed, there is still a need to offer additional practical training through the implementation of more placements. Thus, the present proposal represents one of the principal strategies to increase students’ employability.
This project proposes the group of participants attending 2nd and 3rd year level III courses.
The reason for proposing these courses is based on the need to merge professional experience with the students’ traineeship curricula; encourage their future employability. Since they are attending 2nd and 3rd year, they are conscious of the importance of on-the-job training, and view placements abroad as valuable to their Curricula, requiring effort to achieve goals such as, the capacity to adapt to different situations and cultures.
With this project they will be able to: improve scientific knowledge and know-how, through on the job-training abroad, where the pedagogic team, in conjunction with the reception/intermediary partners, will select the best placement locations for each participant providing academic goals, means of evaluation and adequate chaperone forms guaranteeing the success of these placements. This project will allow participants to benefit from a mobility programme in the following partner countries: Germany, Italy, Lithuania, Malta, Poland, Romania, Spain and Bulgaria.
