The IT-based tool for diagnosis provides an effective and practical manner for identifying and counseling of potential dropouts at an early stage. The scientific developed tool for identification of apprentices with high risk of break-off is based on the questionnaire SMK+P that measures personal, social and methodological skills and allows the graphic illustration of development courses of individuals or groups.
The online tool is a screening instrument. Personal, social and methodological skills of the apprentices as well as latent and manifest risk of break-off are measured by self-assessment of the apprentices and by assessment of teachers and trainers. After the automated analysis of data, the tool provides graphs and tables that can be used for feedback and counseling interviews with the apprentices.
Target group trainers, teachers, counselors and case managers who are involved in vocational education
Result The instrument is available on internet in five languages (German, English, French, Italian, Polish).
