Marketing Text Enterprise Gender Oriented adapts and transfers at European level e model of gender certification. The standard was created and experimented in three cooperative companies in Livorno thanks to the ADO project, financed by Tuscany Region in 2006. The model will be updated and adapted, implemented and transferred at European level, with the final goal to deliver a quality certification to 4 companies involved in the experimentation in Italy, Portugal and Bulgaria.
“EGO” aims to contribute to the formal recognition of gender quality through the transfer of a quality model based on the valorisation of gender differences in the companies - identified and experimented with "ADO - Azienda Donna Oriented” project - funded by POR Regione Toscana 2000-2006. The general aim of the project is to contribute to achieving the Lisbon goals on women employment through the adaptation, transfer and awareness rising on a model of certification "gender oriented".
With the involvement of partners with diverse and complementary skills of a large European network (IT, ES, CZ, BG, PT) positive actions will be activated, as well as continuous training, awareness rising, improvement of work organization, implementation of formalized procedures, controls and certifications, gender mainstreaming, and will be pursued the main expected result: to bring 4 companies located in European partner Countries (organizations from Italy, Bulgaria, Portugal) to achieve gender certification “EGO - Gender Oriented Enterprise" and other 5 organizations (from Italy, Spain, Czech Republic) to be trained on gender quality theme at workplace.
Expected results and impact: 4 companies certified "gender oriented", 5 organizations sensitized to the issue, 40 human resources responsible and 20 managers trained on gender equality themes, 100 male and female workers sensitized to the issue, organizations of 5 European countries involved in the experimentation, activation of round table discussions/agreements/protocols, and a committee of gender mainstreaming.
Description The EGO project aims to increase the formal recognition of gender quality schemes by transferring pilot quality models tested in the “A.D.O. - Azienda Donna Oriented” project - funded under the POR of Tuscany Region 2000-2006 - based on the valorisation of gender differences within a company. This new project adapts and transfers a certification model “gender oriented”, raising awareness on gender quality. The project benefits from a rich network of European partners with a diverse yet complementary range of skills (from Italy, Spain, Bulgaria, Portugal and the Czech Republic) and a parallel network of supporting partners (social partners and gender organisations) through which positive actions, lifelong learning, awareness-raising, improvements in the organisation at the workplace, the application of formal procedures, quality system inspections and certification and gender mainstreaming are all implemented. The main result expected is that four companies, located in different country partners (2 in Italy, 1 in Bulgaria and 1 in Portugal), will obtain gender certification "EGO - Enterprise Gender Oriented", while another 5 organisations (3 in Italy, 2 in Spain and 1 in the Czech Republic) will receive training on gender quality within their companies.
