Marketing Text MOBIVET-REGIO aims directly at giving to the Regions and all operators the tools and resources already existing ( mostly within the Leonardo projects) which are so far unknown or not much used.
The mobility of young people in initial vocational education and training sustains personal and professional development of young people and their employability. Henceforth, it has now become a priority in public action. Because of their skills in this field and of their proximity to the different actors involved in mobility in their territory, Regions are now key actors of European mobility for young people.
Nevertheless, the number of young people in initial vocational education and training who got a mobility experience keeps low : operators (training centers, schools and enterprises) lack help for accompanying the projects and for their search of partners. Regions provides financial and operational help but haven’t an overall view on the available tools.
This is why, seven Regions have worked for one year within the REGIO LLL Leonardo project so as to produce some recommendations for action with the objective to sustain European mobility of this public (the results are available for free on www.freref.eu ).
The objective of MOBIVET is to ensure the development and perpetuation of these recommendations.
Objectives of the project :
It aims at :
- contributing to the creation of a perennial structuring framework based on voluntarism and means implemented by Regions. The goal is to increase the quantity and the quality of mobility of young people in initial vocational education and training.
-improving the follow-up of operators and of intermediary organizations so as to increase the mobility of young people in initial vocational education and training. MOBIVET REGIO mainly involves regions which develop proper financial supports and plans for operators sustaining mobility.
- setting up the interregional MOBIVET REGIO forum sustaining European mobility of young people in initial vocational education and training, under the aegis of Regions, to enable operators to establish reliable partnerships for mobility.
- emphasizing mobility tools and making them available(mostly created under Leonardo projects) toward young people, training centers, schools, enterprises, intermediary organizations- allowing regional structures to use them better.
-helping to change the scale of the organization of mobility using the Regions’ support and follow-up, and sustaining the cooperation between public stakeholders ; EU, States, regions, sectors.
The partners :

The French Community of Belgium, on which the Center for Management and Coordination depends, has been a member of FREREF since 1991. CCG and FREREF have been working closely together more particularly within the REGIO-LLL project on the matter of the mobility of young people following their initial professional training.
The CCG is the body created and attached to the General Directory for compulsory education of the French Community Ministry to be the official intermediary between schools, the authorities, the education networks, representative and coordinating bodies from the one hand, and the Ministry on the other hand.
