Product Report on DigCurV national workshops
Title Report on DigCurV national workshops
DigCurV is establishing a network to extend vocational training for digital curators in the library, archives, museums and cultural activities sector. The project addresses the availability of training for staff to develop the skills needed for the long-term management of digital collections which are being built up by cultural institutions. New jobs are emerging for digital curators but there is evidence of employers facing recruitment difficulties due to skills shortages, and of demand from staff and employers for vocational training to develop new skills in this field.
A series of national workshops will be organised at national level to inform and involve educators, stakeholders and practitioners of the results emerging from the project and to gather feedback. This report on this series of meetings will inform the development of the DigCurV curriculum framework.
