Marketing Text 2D and 3D E-Learning Course on “Developing and Using Virtual Work Environments and Serious Games for people with Special Needs”
Users can learn more about the issues that Autistic people face getting or maintaining employment, what serious games are, and how they can create their own serious game.
A wide range of interactions are included in the e-learning course including demonstrations, activities, videos, simulations, formative and summative assessment questions and practice exercises along with presentations of information and evaluation of different methodologies.
Users download a workbook from the course which they should complete as they work through the course.
The course is available in 4 languages (English, German, Bulgarian, Italian) consists of 3 modules:
Module 1 and 2 are in 2D and highlight the issues which autistic people face, the background to serious games, and an introduction to the iSpectrum game.
Module 3 allows the user to experience a 3D simulation where they move around a virtual serious games development company to learn more about the process of developing a serious game.
Target group Vocational Trainers, serious games developers, e-learning professionals, ASD support organisations.
Result An eLearning course consisting of 3 modules, available in 4 languages.
Area of application The course is intended to be used by autism practitioners and other educators to learn more about using serious games technology with learners. It's also intended to be used by game developers to highlight how their skills could be used to help autistic people, and other people with conditions or disabilities.
