Marketing Text Job Rotation for increasing the blood bank core competence at the Austrian Red Cross Vienna Blood Centre II (VBC)
The “Job Rotation for increasing the blood bank core competence at the Austrian Red Cross Vienna Blood Centre II (VBC)” project has the primary objective to enable the European Union Red Cross Blood Services and their staff to learn from each other and to contribute to increase the proffesional competence in immunohematologiy, transfusion medicin and blood donor recruitement. Within the Mobility Measure – VETPRO -, the project will facilitate staff members to gain additional experience and to further develop their professional skills according to an individual training plan. This project aims to exchange experiance and encourage high level common standards in patients blood group serology and in marketing practice of blood donor recruitment for voluntary renumerated blood donations. The project aims to foster European cooperation between partners and their staff members and to integrate the awareness of the European Dimension into their daily work. Furthermore ,this will increase the intercultural awareness and improve the language skills of the parties involved.
The benefit of participating in the project should be for both the individual beneficiary as well as for the participating organisation as such. In concrete terms, this means that Red Cross Blood Centers staff members will have the possibility to join and work in another blood service, either on upcoming projects or in the daily work. Through the placement the beneficiary will get familiar with the operational procedures and process of the hosting organisation and increase his/her knowledge and experience, also to the benefit of his/her own organisation. The outcome should be an experience and knowledge exchange between the European partners where the strategy “learning from the best” is being applied.
