The opening of economic areas and labour markets within the European Union has fundamentally changed the social organisation and accordingly the labour organisation. High-value services and the quality of the products offered play an increasingly important role. Meanwhile globalisation and the international structural change lead to an increased competition and pressure to innovate. The shortage of skilled personnel which especially becomes noticeable in certain trades is an impaired factor here. In this context the cross-border cooperation of SMEs - from the perspective of the new Eastern Europe EU countries, but also the old member states are provided by new opportunities - is constantly gaining in importance.
The project “3F for Future” tries to tackle the problems by organsing three one week German-Polish workshops with each 12 participants (photographers, butchers, coiffeurs) dealing with these topics.
„3 F for Future – photographer, butcher and coiffeur trades in cooperation with Poland to overcome new labour market challenges and develop improved future-oriented apprenticeships for securing qualified junior employees” is realised by BGZ Berlin International Cooperation Agency together with several German and Polish partners (HWK Berlin, Fleischer-Innung Berlin, Focon Innung der Fotografen, Friseur-Innung Berlin, HWK Großpolens in Posen, Fachhochschule Technikum Fototechniczne in Warsaw).
Currently, the Berlin trade has to deal with two questions which need to be dealt with in European context:
1. Given the threatening shortage of skilled labour, how is it possible to make trade as an occupational field more attractive?
2. How can the mutual acknowledgement of training qualifications & the realization of EQR in the border regions make progress?
Those topics will be dealt with during three one week German-Polish workshops with each 12 participants.
