Marketing Text The training programme, organised by Prof. Massimo Bruscaglioni Director of the Association RISFOR, was prepared in order to “build” a useful and necessary training programme so that the CRENDi project professionals may enhance their knowledge and skills to operate with the empowering approach in the target areas. Through an empowering approach and with the tools acquired during training, it is possible to assist the Romanian and Slovenian beneficiaries to further the “sense of leadership in their lives”, support them in increasing the “possibilities practicable for themselves and which ones to choose” Therefore the programme responds to the need to define a way forward through knowledge, trial, acquisition of the empowerment approach and its main instruments in the context of the project CRENDI.
the training programme clearly describes the objectives of the course, held by Prof. Massimo Bruscaglioni. and Dott. Alessandro Tolomelli, held from 11th to 15th January 2010 in Milan. The objectives and the guidelines of the programme are described in a concise way within the training programme. The professionals involved will, in fact be called upon to apply the concepts and content offered by the trainers, to their personal and professional realities, in order to make explicit the intent, typical of the Self Empowerment model, according to which the theory must be put in close connection with its applicability in the specific context. In addition you will work on team building empowerment oriented by the group of professionals and on the empowerment applied to the project CRENDI and the team of professionals and its components.
All training is focused on the application of the instruments in the context of the project CRENDI. The simulations, exercises are particularly aimed at situations that would potentially arise in the countries of the experiment
The programme also clearly defines the structure of working days, divided into two modules. The first being three days in which the theme of empowerment will be addressed, the empowerment approach. During the first three days the implementation of empowerment-oriented talks will begin to be addressed. The second module, consisting of two days dedicated to the empowerment of the team, specifically aimed at the work of the professionals. The training methodology is characterized by moments of lectures alternating with workshops, mock interviews, individual interviews with the trainers, practice-oriented situation and contexts that characterise the phenomenology of social problems.

Result The programme led to the strenghtening of culture and the empowering approach of the trainers and professionals of the project (assumed to start for the effective implementation of the approach and its tools in the context of reference). During the programme the professinals involved, in fact, have gained instruments for carrying out an empowered oriented interview, to assist benficiaries in enhancing the “sense of leadership in their lives”, in order to become aware of the possibility of choice.
Area of application The project and training programme are applied within the partnership and from the same partnesrhip. In fact, the project CRENDI proposes, based on the ProRes experience, empowerment as a strategic approach for the effective enforcement of the phenomena of social hardship and therefore it is necessary for its implementation that the professionals use the empowering approach in their own in personal and professional lives.
