Marketing Text The aim of our porject was to increase knowledge and skills of our students in the subject of computer software and hardware. Students were introduced to working life and European culture through technical visits and cultural activities.
Before the mobility activity, we spent time choosing the students who would participate in the project which was quite demanding. Afterwards, we had meetings with their parents. Then English language and cultural preperation courses were carried out to make the students ready for the mobility.
Our students were given a course about computer hardware and softaware in R.O.C. Aventus School for three weeks, four days a week. They had chance to improve their knowladge and skills about computer with this course. They benefited from the huge opportunities of our host institution, R.O.C during the course periot. They observed the working condition of their possibily colliques and applications of them in Netherlands with technical visits. Presentations which were given by authorities of diffirent business lines made our students know these companies’ way of work.
Daily visits were made to big cities of Netherlands on weekends.They have learnt history and facilities of Netherlanders with culturel visits. So, they improved their awareness of European citizen. Their self-confidence is improved. We had contacts with the Turk families who live in the Netherlands. So, we observed the life of expatriates.
We observed the condition of schools, teachers and students with school visits. We made contacts with the managment of these schools in order to built up new relationships.
Our students wrote their feelings and profits during the day and uploaded their writings to the web site which is designed for the project (http://www.elektrikbolumu.com/ldvproje). So, parents of our students and other students who are in Turkey were able to follow what we did in the Netherlands.
We did lots of activities for generalizing the project. Our web site is used actively. One of our participant student gave some information about the project to all students in a morning meeting. Project presentation was given to whole teachers of school by the contact person of project. A detailed wall newspaper was prepared. Our project is published and adverted by some web sites, magazines and newspapers.
As a result of this project, we believe that our students gained a big experience, and a good connection has been made. They did their best in order to represent their country. Our Project is generalized effectively. Our participants were certificated by both our school and the host school. So, it was a successful and valuable project for our students and school.
