Marketing Text This project is a geographical transfer project transferring best practice in female entrepreneurship development predominantly from Western EU countries to Eastern EU countries. This project is about taking a range of best practice training/development programmes as opposed to ONE model of best practice. It is an amalgam of best practice experience from the partners from a range of countries.
Description EU WOMEN aims to adapt and transfer an innovative methodology and curricula for female entrepreneurship and transfer this to new geographic markets via the partners in the consortium reaching from the UK to Bulgaria. It is envisaged that the product will be hosted on an e-learning learning management system to ensure access after the lifespan of the funded project.
The target group is represented by females who may wish to consider self employment as an option to realise their potential. The target group’s main SHORT TERM needs include:
(1) Developing an understanding of female entrepreneurship
(2) Assistance with ideas generation
(3) Confidence building
(4) Knowledge and skills regarding how to set up a business
(5) Knowledge and skills regarding marketing and financial planning
(6) Knowledge and skills regarding access to sources of small business support
Long term the EU WOMEN project aims to assist women to start up in business and create sustainable enterprises in their own country. Apart from the females who participate on the EU WOMEN Project, the economy of each partner country will benefit by an increase of female entrepreneurship. Long term the project may bring about attitudinal change regarding the role of women in business and will help to bring down barriers for women in entrepreneurship.
Result An e-learning training programme which will ensure access to a wider female audience at European level.
