Quality assurance activities played a mayor role throughout the course of the PRIMAeT project. The reason for this can be seen in the fact, that in an international project with seven partners from seven different countries, carrying out different tasks at different stages of the project, effective collaboration is a crucial factor for the quality of the processes and outcomes and in this sense directly contributes to the overall success of the project.
Main objectives of the quality assurance activities were to monitor and foster the collaboration between the project partners and to ensure a high quality of the project outcomes.
In order to ensure and maintain the quality of the deliverables within the project and of the Online Training as the project’s final product, several interconnected activities and measures were carried out. These included:
• A quality assurance plan, describing the general evaluation concept behind the different activities, the development and use of questionnaires and the way results were analysed, communicated and used for improvements
• An analysis of existing training in the field of psychosocial risk management in different countries was carried out and a training availability report was compiled
• The collaboration of the project partners and the external experts was constantly evaluated. The main products of the project, the Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) and the Online Training, were evaluated by representatives of the target groups during the piloting phase
• The products and outputs of the project were evaluated by the project partners, experts and representatives of different stakeholder groups
Target group Project partners and project stakeholders
The PRIMAeT project focused on the development and promotion of a specific training programme/training course on psychosocial risk management at the workplace delivered by means of a virtual learning environment (VLE). To achieve the projects objectives, a close, trustful and productive cooperation between the project partners was an indispensable prerequisite. A good collaboration between the project partners was established at an early stage of the project and maintained throughout the projects life circle. Differences in specific items between the different points of assessment were only marginal and in general improving over time. Average values were about 4,5 on a 1 (negative) to 5 (positive) scale and therefore indicate a high degree of subjective satisfaction with the processes and the results of the collaboration.
The regular project partner meetings had a big share in this succesful outcome, as the evaluation results for this part show impressively. Taking the comments on the open questions into account, it was a big asset of the project consortium to know each other from previous projects. So it was easy to establish an open and trustful atmosphere among the partners which allowed openminded discussions. This together with a good preparation and leading of the meetings by the project managers (e.g. providing a comprehensive agenda that the course of the meetings followed, good time management and decision making) lead to convincing results.
For the evaluation of the core product of the project – the PRIMAeT Online Training – the results are also good but leave opportunity for further improvements. It became obvious that aims and objectives were met and added value on the European level was created. Furthermore, recommendations were made to integrate the course into existing training programmes, to develop a comprehensive blended-learning concept, focusing on skills development, and to incorporate additional topics, such as disability management. These findings are also in line with those from the piloting phase of the project and have therefore be considered thoroughly by the project partners.
Area of application To ensure quality of project activities and outcomes.
