Selected concepts were jointly created to a set of suitable instruments. An overview can be found in the ProEthics manual. With the help of the ProEthics consultation process amoung stakeholders, positions about value management in the profesional education was elaborated and intensive exchange about values was triggered.
'ProEthics' aimed at improving the quality of the professional education in companies and training institutions by means of a value management system. Teaching innovative value systems in a dialogue between companies and apprentices is becoming more and more important facing pressing issues such as corruption, using company property, and in the future also the possibilities of neuro-enhancement.
Measures for quality assurance in professional education have been linked at the company level, the national, and the European level with the appropriate instruments of value management.
Suitable instruments (consisting of 1. ProEthics management training, 2. ProEthics exhibition including trainer instructions, 3. ProEthics Media tool box Value Dialogue, 4. Certification strategy) have been developed when the requirements of the European Quality Assurance Reference Framework (EQARF), the professional education systems, quality management systems at the professional education institutions, and the issues important to companies and apprentices - also on European level - have been thoroughly considered and matched.
The project 'ProEthics' developed an innovative set of instruments: ProEthics management training, ProEthics poster exhibition with accompanying booklet, ProEthics media toolbox value dialogue and ProEthics certification workshop. This was developed with the involvement of transfer products “Integrating the Ethical Perspective” (Dr. Martin Büscher) and “Introduction to General Ethics” (Prof. Michael Quante). The instruments were developed with the participation and testing of transnational ProEthics partners, training institutions, academics, consultants and management representatives of social partners to ensure practical and appropriate transfer. In addition, a consultation process with educational institutions, businesses, unions, educational experts has been set in motion that promoted the transfer of ProEthics instruments into the national vocational training systems. By means of cooperation with European partner countries Germany, Spain, Finland, Hungary, Ireland ProEthics succeeded in a sectoral and a geographical European transfer.
Even after the official completion of the project, further collaboration is planned. In February 2012, a Leonardo Partnership project, ‘ProEthics Training Partnership ', in which five former ProEthics partners (D, HU, E, FI, IE) and five new partner countries (NL, GB, A, PL, I) are involved has been submitted. This is planned to use the tools developed in ProEthics in the respective countries to hold workshops with multipliers on the topic of value management in vocational training and spread it into other sectors.
The project ProEthics aims at sustainability. Based on the ProEthics management training curriculum a scientific book publication is being prepared. First agreements between the philosophical academic partners have made with a publisher.
The poster exhibition as well as the curriculum for management training creates great interest in the professional environment of the partners. In May 2012, a training in collaboration with a local technical vocational colleges will be held in Ahaus. At the same time discussion with the District government in Munster on the use of the curriculum in internal teacher training are ongoing.
