Supporting the development of adults is a key “profession” in the knowledge society. The professional identity of adults trainers is a very valuable asset to implement a policy of lifelong learning in Europe. Mobility of trainers, and recognition of trainers’ qualifications is constrained by the lack of a common -and consensus based- authentically European qualification and competence framework. This is an obstacle to mobility and recognition not only at trans-national level within Europe but also at the trans-sectoral level within the same country. Finally it must not be forgotten than most EU countries have no qualification framework of trainers.
The QUADULTRAINERSs project aims at increasing the recognition, the social prestige and the attractiveness of the adults trainers professions by proposing through multistakeholder research and consensus building process a European Qualification Prototype for Adult Trainers.
On that sense, the project will take the Financial Service Sector as the starting development ground for the renewed Competence Framework. From the outcomes of the research on the FSS, will be produced a European Qualification Prototype able to be adaptable and transferable to the rest of the adult learning sectors and “territories”.
Description In order to increase visibility and recognition of the roles of an expert adult trainer and an adult learning professional in the Financial Service Sector (FSS), NIBE-SVV, EBTN and 5 other partners / contributors have set trhemselves to the task of making a European Qualification Prototype for these two functions in the Vocational Education and Training (VET)

Product information After preliminary research into existing descriptions and qualifications, the project will come up with two equally important representatives of VET in the FSS, the expert adult trainer, expert on content of the field of the vocation, and the adult learning professional, expert on the didactical, educational, organizational field of VET.
