Marketing Text Students will absolve compulsory practical training sessions in social facilities in five European countries.
The students who are taking part in the Leonardo da Vinci project are currently completing their third or fourth year at our school. The curricula of the Technical College and of the College for Economics, which specializes in social management, schedule compulsory training sessions of twelve and sixteen weeks respectively. Thanks to the Leonardo Exchange Program, the students are able to complete parts of their practical trainings abroad.
Based on the school´s strong interest in training courses, job opportunities in the social field and health service in the EU-member states, in addition to the fact that our students´ language study emphasizes Spanish, Romania and Spain have become our main partner countries. This year our students have also done their practical training in facilities for disabled people, children and adults with social needs and elderly people in Poland, Germany and Great Britain.
Since our students are trained as caring professionals, they should get to know about the standards and opportunities for nursing people in other European countries and be able to compare them with Austrian standards.
The goal of this exchange is also to intensify the partnership we have maintained with these countries for four years now and thereby give as many of our students as possible the chance to experience a practical training abroad.
Apart from gaining professional knowledge of the social structures and the health services offered in other European countries, the students also benefit personally from this experience. They not only improve their language competence but they also broaden their intercultural understanding and are encouraged to develop their non-academic personal skills.
