Title Investment Readiness Training
Project Number 08/0025-L/4014
Project Type Transfer of Innovation
Investment Readiness Training is a pilot and demonstration project, designed to help entrepreneurs and to be entrepreneurs to access finances easier through a complex training programme. The project is implemented in Hungary and Slovenia with guidance and practical lead by an Italian firm. The training programme to be adopted in the two transferee countries was developed in Italy and has already been tested with success in other European countries.
The adaptation of the Investment Readiness Training Program will fill the existing gap in vocational education and will improve existing entrepreneurial trainings by offering would-be-entrepreneurs / start ups tailored-made training and counselling services.
Summary There is a detected financial gap in early stage financing and also a low level utilization of quality innovative projects in Hungary and Slovenia. To overcome these problems the participating transferee partners, INNOSTART National Business and Innovation Centre and Technology Park Ljubljana, have launched a number of initiatives and actions to facilitate enterprises to get access to early stage finances. However, during the realization and/or operation of these initiatives it became evident that innovative projects are very often not investment ready: they are not able to attract investors since their business model, business plan, market survey have generally low quality, not meeting the expectations of investors and also project owners are not able to present their ideas in an appropriate way. Therefore training and coaching is needed to prepare them to be investment ready. Currently no customised, interactive training programmes are available for would-be-entrepreneurs and start up companies. The IRT project has been developed with the aim to fill this gap thus improving the utilization of innovative ideas and the development opportunities of innovative companies, start-ups, future enterprises.
Description The IRT project consortium composes of three partners. INNOSTART National Business and Innovation Centre acts as coordinator, and as one of the transferee countries along with Technology Park Ljubljana. Meta Group is the partner transferring and adapting the training course and its methodology to the transferees. The project is implemented along 8 work packages implemented in a duration of 18 months. The work packages are strongly interconnected, starting with a clear definition and description of actual situation in the transferee countries and finishing with the provision of a complex training programme specifically developed with the characteristics of the two transferee countries.
