Marketing Text Due the increasing globalization and technological progress, teams and organisations are becoming more ‘‘virtual’’: Management activity in this virtual context is different from conventional management. New competencies in the areas of e-Collaborative, Networking Management and e-Business are required by managers to guarantee the competitiveness of European enterprises. E-Core Managers introduces the Virtual Management approach on current Managerial and Entrepreneurial Training at Bachelor and Masters (MBA) levels in Europe, by including training on e-competencies related the areas of e-Collaborative, Networking Management and e-Business.
E-Core MANAGERS aims to integrate Virtual Collaboration Management e-competencies learning in current Managerial Business Administration training, at university and master (MBA) levels. The objective will be to improve its quality and innovation by its adecuacy to learn of emergent e-competencies - related to organisational and attitude issues in the efficient use of ICT to manage e-Teams, projects and organisations – that are required to the high and middle directive staff in the labour market of the Information Society.
It will be based on the transfer of the results of Virtual Work, a previous Leonardo da Vinci Project (200-2002 PP 115.118), in which a e-learning program for Distance Managers of Virtual Communities and eTeams were developed. Its didactical contents, products and tools will be transferred and adapted to new cultural linguistic contexts, completed to be approximated to Manager’s professional national frameworks, and updated to technological advances on e-learning delivery.
-A Report of guidelines to adapt the curricular programs of Managerial and Business Administration training integrating these e-competencies learning.
-Didactical modules developed on web multimedia IT that could be integrated on e-learning platforms or used to support face to face training. Will be adapted, updated and available in Spanish, English, Lituan and Polish.
-A multilingual e-learning platform supporting modules and simulations of e-collaborative environments to allow practice with individual collective exercises in conditions closer to professional situations.
-A Trainer’s Guide
-A validates Transference Method that could be used in future exploitation activities.
The consortium are formed by six organizations of Spain, Greece , Ireland, Poland and Lithuania. Iturbrok and Idec have participated in Virtual Work, like promoter and partner respectively. With Laboradomo, expert entity on e-learning and telework triaing, will act like origin and support of transfer. Innovate, centre of innovation of the Univ. National of Ireland, the University of Kaunas and the Academy of Humanities and Economics of Lodz will act like receivers of the transference incorporating the resulting contents, materials and didactic tools to their current programs of Managerial and Business Administration training, at university and post graduates levels.
The foreseen impact will be:
-an innovation of current Managerial Business Administration training to be closer adequated to emergent competencies on e-Collaborative Management in order to ensure better performance and employability of Directives in labour markets.
-the improvement of the visibility of these e-competences to be considered by european enterprises and organisations as core of the competitiveness according i2010 European Strategic Framework.
E-Core MANAGERS aims to integrate learning in Virtual Collaboration Management in currently provided Managerial and Business Administration training at university and Masters (MBA) levels.
The objective is to improve the quality and innovation of the programmes by including training in the area of e-competencies. These are required by the middle and upper levels of staff of companies and organisations. These competencies are related to e-Collaborative activities, Networking Management and e-Business and include areas like
-Organisation of e-collaborative work
-Virtual Human resources management
-Distance management by objectives and Leadership
-Efficient use of Information and Communication Technology for e-collaborating.
The project proposes to adapt Managerial Training to e-competences required in the labour market of our Information Society by implementing in its training programmes didactical modules on Virtual e-Collaboration Managing as well as IT Distance Management.
This will be done by providing state of the art material in the area of e-learning that is specifically developed to equip learners with the critical competencies required. e-Core Managers will also provide learning methodologies and best practices based on information technology that will allow trainers to simulate virtual work environments. The project strategies include:
•To present curricula in the area of virtual collaboration that reflects the needs of the learner.
•To develop easy to access, state of the art reference material to help learners to understand the essential fundamental concepts involved in the discipline.
•To equip learners with the best practices, skills and supporting tools necessary to effectively implement these concepts in their organisations.
•To empower learners to autonomously apply these concepts and tools
The target groups of the project are:
-Trainees of Managerial and Business training courses at undergraduate level.
-Trainees of Managerial & Business training of courses at Postgraduate level
-Trainers/tutors of Managerial & Business specialities, both at University and VET Centres.
-Management from medium and high levels of enterprises and other organisations.
-Educational centres, Universities and Vocational Training organizations offering Managerial and Business Learning, in face to face contexts as well as e-learning.
-Entrepreneurial Training Centres
The key activities of the project will include:
-An analysis how our training programmes and learning methodologies can be integrated in current Managerial Training programmes in order to add value to the existing programmes.
-To transfer methods and plans (depending cases and countries, etc.)
-To Adapt, update, translate learning contents and methods in order to integrate them into existing programmes.
-To develop successful pilot experiences on e-Management training. These experiences will be held in the National University of Ireland, the Kaunas University of Technology and the Academy of Humanities & Economics of Lodz.
-Disseminate the activities and results of the project.
