Summary Mastercrafts working in industrialproduction are partly recruted from industrial-technical skilled workers. The main task of this project has been to produce suitable, transnational learning modules from work situated learning tasks for this target group. These modules have the character of exemplariness for a further use with additional contents. They are also usable as templates for media adaptions of other educational suppliers. With this project the use of e-learning by mastercrafts in industrial industries got a transnational impulse. The focus of this cooperation has been on the new combination of e-modules with presence or correspondance teaching. The cooperating partners did not only develop combinable components for educational training in coordinated division of labour, but also created and tested new systematic connections of self-studying and presence course. The project pointed first of all at the application of innovative concepts of vocational training. Regarding the content the professional and technical knowhow has been central; that means issues like technical aspects of operating a business, of production lines, of mounting, costs, information systems, safety, quality and staff management. The results of the project could be used early on. The project wanted first of all to show good practices by developing situated working tasks with a new media approach. The developed learning modules take up new forms of learning, that were given under the term of “situated working task”; which means learning on complete working tasks that are close to every day practice, so called action oriented teaching. In this project new forms of learning, that are already proven in presence teaching, were modernized and made more attractive by media expansion, p.e. internet based excercises, media connections from working technologies and learning processes, media enhanced connections of self-studying and presence teaching.
