Work out program isintegrated in the Bebrene Professional Secondary School and Smiltene Technical School within framework of the Veterinary Medicine environmental education program. Within framework of this project there training seminars for the State Environmental Service employees and Liepaja Marine forces were organised.
The aim of this project is to work out a 15 academic hours training program with theoretical materials and an instructional film, including information about previous experience in this sector, new studies and methods.
The problem is essential not only with respect to accidents in the sea, but also inland waters, especially the River Daugava, where very recently a substantial pollution was stated.
All materials of the training program were translated into Lithuanian, because persons with a good experience in this field (attached in this project) come from Lithuania and Finland. In these countries there is a similar problem which has not been worked out.
All expected project results were achieved – training program “Oiled wildlife care after oil pollution accidents in the sea and inland waters” with theoretical materials and presentations, teaching movie and 13 presentations. The results were introduced across the project partners. During the project time the training program was successfully implemented in existing education program of two vocational schools in Latvia, three training seminars have been organised in Latvia, training program has been introduced in Lithuania.
The various experience and knowledge of the partners involved in the project ensured sectoral type of innovation transfer that has been integrated both in the vocational education system and in improvement of the professional skills of the working adults. As a result of this cooperation a completely new training program was developed and introduced in Latvia and Lithuania.
