Summary The ideas and the e-learning are built on two projects, the Icelandic Building Bridges where Icelandic woman worked on tourism and development in their farms. The other project EAT developed e-learning methods and this project will localize the knowlege and the learning methods to the participating countries. The best practices in real life are the basic of this project .
Oats is working on sustainable tourism. How to make a living of this and how to learn enough to develop the tourism produc to be able to make a living. The important keywords for theese tourism products are autencity,hands on experience, original stories about the rural farms and areas.Original food, music and art coming from the origins. Original farming. The problem is to understand how you can do the marketing of things which has been traditions for generations. The farmer has to find it interesting and the big problem is to communicate issues who has always been known.
OATS will make a book about the definition of sustainable tourism and describe best practises.
We have arranged one idea cafe with the Icelandic Women and Danish people who wants to develop Organic Agrarian Tourism or Sustainable Tourism. This café happened in the Cafe in Bovbjerg Fyr in Denmark and we had very usefull discussions and ideas.The next meeting will be in Florence the 9-11th of september and the next idea cafe will be run by very professional partners who will show us good ways to develop ideas. The final product will be curriculum of Organic agrarian tourism education which will be carried out from an e- learning platform. In Danish, and English. The course will be a start meeting at school Kalø Økologisk Landbrusgsskole as a start. Meetings with the students each month and e- learning tasks in the mean time.
One of the next big events is the opening af the National Parc Mols Bjerge. OATS will try to arrange action this day the 29th of August.
