Title Hunting Rifle
The students produced a \"hunting rifle\" using the techniques taught at three different institutes.
-) At Ferlach they assembled the system with the barrel, tested the functionality and fit the aiming devices.
-) In Finland they learned how to manufacture the trigger mechanism and they did it afterwards.
-)The Norwegean gunsmiths showed them how to design and fit the stock to the weapon.
The main goal was that the students learned new manufacturing techniques by forming a concrete product, the hunting weapon. The motivation of the students was enormous for they will become owner of the rifle when it will be finished.
If you look at the product from the outside you find the \"Hunting Rifle\", a concrete product, which has a special meaning for future gunsmiths, because many of them have a close relation to the culture of hunting in our country.
The central process, which should be achieved, was to learn about technologies, which are used in Austria, Norway and Finland.
In each country the students manufactured a special part of the weapon. By undergoing this process they leared about the techiques used in this part.
Each institute offered its special knowledge to the young people.
Now when the project is completet we are abel to state the the students won a lot of new knowledge.
