Title LearnIT: m-Learning supported by e-Learning for IT professionals in SME sectors
Project Number 2008-1-PL1-LEO05-02055
Project Type Transfer of Innovation
Marketing Text The project LearnIT transferred two products developed previously within two different LdV projects: innovative learning approach from Italy and didactical material from Bulgaria.
Summary This double transfer proposal answered its main aim which was strengthening SME sector through empowering its IT specialists by giving them innovative method of training which would work towards the improvement of employees skils and in effect the improvement of European VET system.
The proposal implemented the Transfer of Innovation from a few perspectives:
1) sectoral – the learning approach was used within tourism sector and it was transferred and updated for the needs of IT specialists in SME sector
2) geographical – the learning approach and the didactic materials were transferred, translated to new languages and adjusted to the needs of new countries
3) technical – the tools developed in previous projects were updated to the technical needs of realities, content was enhanced and more attractive. The transfer changed the delivery type (change balance between e-learning and m-learning in the first case and transfer to the electronic form in the second case). Overall, the bigger stress was put on m-learning part. The transfer made the training more accessible. During the realisation of TALAS project the mobile equipment was expensive and hardly accessible. During the project realisation there was a new generation of mobile devices – so-called smartphones, which became affordable and had bigger possibilities.
The transfer included change from relatively simple, static content implemented within TALAS project to more attractive, interactive, rich content which included: video and interactive applications/forms.
