Marketing Text ASMAS objectives provide eLearning content in occupational health and safety (OHS) with the goal of training workers, engineers and technicians, enterprise managers, and consultants in OHS aspects.
ASMAS project transfer/adapt existing content into an integrated set of 4 vocational training courses. Training will be based on a
common pedagogical approach adapted to the needs of each target group and the specific national regulations.
The ASMAS project is funded under the EU Leonardo da Vinci Programme for a period of two years. Its main goal is to facilitate the introduction of advanced occupational health and safety (OHS) procedures in Small to Medium Enterprises (SMEs) through the provision of a lifelong training curriculum.
ASMAS will transfer and adapt existing training material related to legislation and safety practices.
The ASMAS platform, based on recent advances
in eLearning, comprises advanced knowledge
structures, methodologies, tools and web services.
The ASMAS partnership provides expertise and
knowledge in eLearning technologies, legislation and safety practices, and vocational training.
Industrial Research Institute for
Automation and Measurements (PIAP) belongs to a group of research institutes established in 1965 by the Ministry of Industry and Trade in
Poland. PIAP is the coordinator of the ASMAS project and has expertise in automated systems, mechatronics, vocational elearning, valorisation and exploitation of project results.
LOT-CONSULT, founded in 1993. LOT-CONSULT is at present the largest company in Bulgaria in the OHS area, performs risk assessment and has established a Health and Safety Service that
operates according to the Act for Health and Safety at work. LOT-CONSULT has longlasting experience in developing training content for the needs of the electrical and electronics industry.
Institute for Applied Systems
Technology Bremen GmbH (ATB) was founded in 1991 as a non-profit organisation. ATB
has produced a number of ICT solutions, including eLearning systems, authoring environments, and web based training
courses. ATB has also been involved in eLearning system assessment and production of eLearning training content.
Cardiff University (CU)was established in 1883, and continues to build on its reputation as an international centre for research and teaching. CU has longlasting experience in professional lifelong eLearning and performance support as well as risk assessment and management. CU provides expertise in software ontologies development and assessment of eLearning environments.
