Title V.I.D.E.O. Video-CV to Increase and Develop Employment Opportunities
Project Number LLP-LDV-TOI-08-IT-456
Project Type Transfer of Innovation
The V.I.D.E.O. Project is focused on the development of a new tool meant to facilitate the matching of job demand and offer. The complexity of occupational integration and re-integration processes – considering both the difficulty showed by the demand in defining clearly its needs and by the formal training supply in meeting efficaciously the professional needs - becomes critical for those job seekers who, though they hold competences and skills, very often acquired informally, cannot properly compete in the labour market also because they are scarcely able to communicate and valorise them.
The development of meta-competences as the ones related to the job searching, self marketing and self-consciousness techniques and capability, have become goals of the most efficient guidance interventions. Another aspect to be focused concerns the influence of Information Technologies (IT): the most relevant change is represented by the wide capacity of operators and technicians to directly manage technologies more and more complex. The Video-CV represent one of the new possible frontiers in the world of the personnel recruitment, one of the ways to let the employers know “who I am and what I can do”.
Il progetto video V.I.D.E.O. si focalizza sullo sviluppo di un nuovo strumento che intende facilitare l'incotro tra domanda ed offerta di lavoro.
The V.I.D.E.O. Project aims to transfer experiences realized by Municipality of Rome Italy), Polidynamo (Gr) and Arge PLON (De)within professional orientation centres, related to the adoption and the use of the Video cv as a tool as a tool functional to the show of one’s own competences by the side of adults seeking for occupational re-integration.
The main goal is to develop a paltform for the Videocv and facilitate the matching of job demand and supply.
The methodology, particularly suitable for the project target (women in Italy and over 45 y.o. in Greece without gender distinctions), facilitate the valorization of competences acquired in informal contexts, most of the times by experience and self-learning, but not less usable in the labour market.
