Marketing Text Since 1999, Slovakia has seen major growth in the number of agencies working in Supported Employment. With growth comes the need for a consistent and standardized approach to service delivery and a need to evaluate services more rigorously. This need exists not just in Slovakia but across Europe as well. A more structured and qualitative approach to the provision of SE and the introduction of standardized training and support for professionals working in the field will ensure that participants are serviced in a safe, ethical and successful manner. Risks associated with participant engagement will be better managed, expected outcomes should improve. The partners within this project bring to the table various and complementary experiences, products, and expertise that will help them to meet the project aims and objectives.
Summary The Aims and objectives then of the project are to introduce and secure quality standards for SE in Slovakia, to explore and confirm best practice in SE across Europe, to translate, adjust, transfer and test parts of trainings used in SE in partner countries and based on outcomes to prepare an educational package for those working in the field of SE, and also to adjust and translate manual on how to create and implement quality standards and to disseminate findings.
Description Each of the partners has much to contribute to this project. The Czech Republic offers a model of implementing service standards along with a product called the Mark of Quality in SE. Slovakia is considering adopting this product. he UK has extensive experience in writing professional standards of practice and in training professionals to meet these standards. Together the partners are keen to explore and report on best practices throughout Europe. Activities of the project: - Exchange visits – workshop - 1 visits to every country, together 3 visits - Exchange of lecturers – based on analysis of offer and demand of individual partner organizations - Exchange of educational products (exercise books, working papers, forms used in the work with clients and employers) - Exchange of experience in the process of increasing quality of services in the area of SE – transfer of the mark of the quality into practice. - press conference / at the beginning and at the end of the project – at Bratislava Slovakia - facilitated meetings 3 times in SR- participants from partners countries – work at quality indicators - training of target group /240 hours of training/ in SR - training of supervisors /192 hours training/ in SR - employment week – campaign - final conference 2009 - dissemination and evaluation

Product information • Professional Standards of Practice for Professionals working in SE /including Competency list for professionals working in SE/ This is the product which will be transfer from UK and CZ which will be focused on the key qualitative indicators of quality work of professional working in the field of supported employment. • Mark of Quality of SE This product will be transferred from the Czech republic and will be used as a way of external evaluation of Agencies for Supported Employment in Slovakia. This product exist in Czech Republic and is not only a good form of evaluation but also a good marketing strategy for promoting those working for disabled and disadvantaged people. • Manual and teaching materials for SE . Curriculum in Education for SE This product will be transferred from UK and CZ – both countries had created the curriculum in Education for professional in SE ready in place. Their experience will be used for preparation of education within the project – it will be tested in the project, than adapted according additional comments so that it can be used in the future as well. • White book This product will be completed in the partnership with all project partners with the goal to support the European strategy of effectiveness of Supported employment as a method of integration persons with disability to work and to social life. It will be published in the form of a book consisting of best practices from every partnership country (Slovakia, Czech republic, Great Britain).
