Title Methods of setting up occupational profiles and designing qualification processes
Product Type description of new occupation profiles
Description Based on data stored in the knowledge database developed within WP 2, and using the results of work carried within projects related to the project at hand (as EASCMF, CarEasyVET, Ways to Sustainabilty), methods of setting up and maintaining environments of automotive sector oriented training and education will be investigated in order to identify best practice and to be able to make suggestions for effective future procedures. This encompasses (legal) procedures of setting up publicly recognised occupational profiles, instruments used to derive requirements of training and education from the analysis of work processes, approaches to design curricula according to these needs, and models of human resources development.
Target group public
Area of application
1. Overview of already existing instruments of work process analysis, description of optimum model:
Instruments to identify the learning requirements related to work processes have been developed in various European countries , but are not used as a standard. Being the most important issue of adapting training processes to the needs of industry using the abilities of learners for their purposes, procedures of work processes transfer into needs of training and education shall be investigated in order to identify best practice and to design an optimum model to be used as a benchmark for setting up occupational profiles and curricula derived from that.
Overview of already existing approaches of setting up occupational profiles, description of optimum model:
There are various approaches used to establish publicly recognised occupational profiles in European countries: Procedures and involvement of stakeholders differ a lot, sometimes these procedures are even totally missing. It shall be investigated which procedures are the most effective ones in terms of high quality in adapting the development of employees’ abilities to the needs of the industry, and suggestions for an optimum procedure shall be made with a link to sectoral initiatives at European level (as envisaged by the project EASCMF).
3.Overview of already existing design of training, education, and human resources management in the automotive sector, description of optimum model:
Approaches to design training and education in the automotive sector as well as ways of human resources development are numerous and are related to various stakeholders as legal bodies, automotive enterprises, and providers of training and education. An overview of these approaches should help to identify best practice and, in particular, to make suggestions for the development of transnational training (as intended by the proposal ECVET Metal )
