Product Type program or curricula
Marketing Text This module training of trainers in the assessment of literacy skills is to train trainers and teachers (F1) who already have experience working with people struggling with literacy (PDL). The general format includes four days of training (not necessarily continuously to allow the testing) of F1, 2 days to make the tool, the context of the evaluation, concepts, etc.. , ½ day for each participant tested the tool with one or more PDL (or with another F1 as appropriate), 2 other days that people have tried to analyze them. However, the durations of the sequences are indicative and may be adapted to the needs and audiences.
Description The module is divided into 6 phases representing 9 sequences. The first sequence A1 lasting an hour is to give voice to participants (F1) on their basic skills about the assessment of literacy skills. The A2 sequence is going to define a joint training project between the initial expectations of the F2 and F1, for 30 minutes. Lasting half past one, the B1 sequence will define the place of evaluation in supporting people in difficulties on literacy. During half past one, too, the B2 sequence will allow F1 to acquire the basic concepts or skill, ability, knowledge and attitude. The B3 sequence is particularly interesting, she will locate the uses of literacy, namely, mother tongue and other languages of the country, personal and family life, professional life and social life, but also explore the difficulties encountered in these various contexts and forms, approaches, intergenerational dimension, levels of literacy. This sequence will present what is to be evaluated: the literacy skills and how to acquire them. Ultimately this sequence will present the objectives related to interpersonal skills and citizenship. Lasting six hours, the sequence C will check the participants' skills in interview techniques and taking into account the specificity of the public (PDL). That's when the trainer of trainers (F2) will choose to perform a detailed test of literacy assessment. The sequence D is devoted to the award and therefore the test of the tool by the F1, which will last from 1:30 to 2:00 on average. Then, the F1 transcribed exchanges and starts analyzing the results. The sequence E, which will last 6 hours is intended to verify the proper use of the test, to train in skills analysis of PDL, to present the objectives related to metacognitive skills of the trainer and the LDP and to include evaluation as part integral to the accompaniment of the person. The final sequence, F, is made on the basis of trade so that F1 can develop their own strategies for assessing and adapting the tool to their own needs.
