Product APPLICATION OF THE RESOURCE SHARING MODEL TO A METAL-MECHANIC SUPPLY CHAIN IN VENETO
Title APPLICATION OF THE RESOURCE SHARING MODEL TO A METAL-MECHANIC SUPPLY CHAIN IN VENETO
Product Type others
Marketing Text It is the second product of the project IL LAVORATORE DI FILIERA. It's a guide with the procedures to apply the resource sharing model to a supply chain. To study the possibility to apply that model to SMEs, the model itself has been tested on a metal-mechanic supply chain in Veneto, involving around 20 enterprises.
Description The objective of this guide is to assess the applicative experience of the above framework to the Gabrielli sheet metal manufacturing chain, in order to obtain useful indications for its future application to other chains. These indications will concern both the applicability of the framework to contexts other than that in which it was tested, as well as the expected benefits of this application in terms not only of human resource mobility, but also of the performance of individual chain companies and the chain as a whole.
Target group Project partners, executives function within companies, labour organisations, civil service, small companies, analysts and designers of the training institutions, business operators who are interested in work organization
This guide has formalised an overall framework for the entire approach for joint optimisation of processes, duties and competencies (or skills) that have been developed to favour the mobility of personnel within the Veneto metal mechanics chain of production, with a view to increasing the internationalisation of the participating SME.
The framework has indicated three fundamental macro-interventions to favour the mobility of human resources on the level of the chain of production: homologation/standardisation of processes and duties, the adjustment/enhancement of individual skills and the abatement of language barriers. The framework has also explained that the intervention of homologation/standardisation of processes and duties is preparatory to the intervention of enhancement of individual skills and the abatement of language barriers and has indicated the conceptual and/or information technology instruments that may support the three forms of intervention proposed. Finally, the experimental application of the framework to a specific Veneto metal mechanics chain of production has offered several useful suggestions to better utilise the framework in future.
The procedures suggested for application of the framework make joint optimisation of processes, duties and skills in support of intra-chain mobility of human resources pursuable, maintaining a particularly lean approach, which is well suited to the needs of the companies in a typical Veneto metal mechanics chain of production.
Area of application The project results will be used in order to increase people's employability, increase intra-and inter-mobility of workers, improving the competitiveness of the sector as a whole, creating a friendly environment for starting and developing businesses
