Development of small and medium enterprises is one of the most important priorities of economic and social development in majority of European countries. SME (small and medium enterprises) managers often do not have experiences in establishing "longterm maintainable" enterprises. Researches indicate that two thirds of enterprises bankrupted especially because an incompetency of their owners. This project is concentrated on the need connected with survival of newly established enterprises in their first two years. At the same time it reacts to the need of interdisciplinary education for SME managers combining hard (e.g. technologies) and soft (e.g. management) skills. Primary target group of project will especially consist of enterprises in the first two years of their operation in the regions with high long-term unemployment and with unemployment caused by structural changes and weak opportunities for education. Distance learning by internet is one of the solutions of the problem with more difficult approach of SME managers to education. Project should contribute to the reinforcement in operation of small enterprises in the regions with weak tradition in the functioning of these enterprises and therefore to help improve the conditions for their survival as well as the conditions for employment. Basic priority of project is supporting adaptability of managers/owners of enterprises and reinforcing their ability to run a business. Project targets are: improving skills and competences of managers, improving the quality and approach to further education and reinforcement of relationship between vocational education and introduction of innovations with the aim to improve competitiveness and ability to run a business as well as with the aim to create new jobs and to improve employment conditions.
