Marketing Text Active Ageing in Italy - managing ageing on the labour market through implementing European practical tools for companies, job employment centers and individuals.
Summary Demographic change will have a significant impact on the European society and labour market. The problem is multi-facetted and puts into question the functioning of the social systems, pension systems and obliges workers to stay longer in working life than before. PRACTA proposes to introduce good experience from France and Germany into the Italian system. 5 instruments will be used by an Italian network of social partners, public authorities and vocational education and training institutions in an effort implement a holistic approach which can help the individual worker to stay or to re-enter the labour market.
Description The project will adapt existing tools from the French and German partners to the Italian context. Instrument 1 called “Career Paths”, is a complex approach to Human Resource management inside the enterprise with a view to Active Ageing. Instrument 2 “Capacity Building for the trade unionist” offers a support for the shop floor social dialogue and bargaining on some essential aspects: comprehensive overview of the national legislative framework, existing practice on the enterprise level, possible practical age management approaches which can be adopted on the shop-floor level and examples of good practice. Instrument 3 is called “Motivation 50+” and is constituted by a guide and questionnaire on professional perspectives, working conditions and motivation of older staff. Instrument 4 is the “Job Coach”, whose task is giving comprehensive support to the older job-seeker, including problems with respect to training, health, social capacity which limit their employability. Finally, Instrument 5 “Active experimental learning” allows small groups of workers to organise their learning path inside the enterprise and on the job. The method has been developed through EQUAL and federal German projects and has been applied successfully over the last few years.
