Project Number LLP-LdV/TOI/07/EL/7
Project Type Transfer of Innovation
Marketing Text The metrics-driven methodology proposed by this project will correlate e-learning to business, increase its Return On Investment and finally persuade the business world of e-learning’s effectiveness.
Summary The main goal of this project is to apply and test thoroughly the methodology already developed by the Leonardo/Believe project in different business sectors and countries inside the European Union. The first objective is the creation of adequate metrics for initial business goal and the second one is the development of high quality e-learning course. The third objective concerns the actual running of the course along with the monitoring of all activities and records of the trainees. This is the crucial part of the project where the estimation of the effectiveness takes place. The final objective is the measurement of the degree of achievement of the initial goal. In the case of commercial applications qualitative and quantitative business results will determine the e-learning effectiveness.
Description The consortium consists of three private companies and two academic institutes. The first institute is also the main contractor, the ICCS, that developed, during the Leonardo/Believe project, an innovative methodology for evaluating e-learning effectiveness. This methodology will be tested by three companies and the second academic institute. The private companies have a large expertise in e-learning applications at a national and international level and it is expected, as part of the current project, that each one of them will select a different business area in which they will identify a business target, develop the appropriate content and implement the methodology developed by Leonardo/Believe program. The academic institute will also implement and test the methodology in the academic area.
